About this deal

I don’t completely agree with regimenting babies’ schedules, but it’s good to know where the ballpark estimate is! In our second book, we’ll guide you through everything you need to know for babies 6-15 months, including how to keep those amazing sleep habits going and navigating the upcoming developmental milestones. But, the most popular reason to read this book is to discover how to get your baby to sleep all night so you can too! Since I'd decided to room-share for longer than that, according to the AAP guidelines, I knew I wasn't really "doing" MOC. A steady rhythm of activities during the day, like ensuring there's a decent gap between their evening meal and bedtime, can make night time a peaceful affair.

This small book that fit in my purse held more practical information than my bookshelf and web browser.

The other author, Laura, has a poignant memory from her childhood of pulling a tablecloth, causing a pot of hot grits to cascade onto her foot, leaving behind scars. Overall, I find it to be a cookie-cutter approach with little explanation that won't work for everyone. Jennifer and Laura’s videos were reassuring, comforting and provided easy tools to soothe and get baby to sleep more.

If there's a little resistance, perhaps next time, let them stay wrapped up during their late-night snack. All guidance is helpful they provide is helpful, but the sleep schedule is the real golden information. Most of the information is generic, outdated, or unrealistic, and certainly doesn’t follow any of the AAP recommendations.I start work back up in two weeks and I don’t know how I’m going to perform when I’m getting about 4 to 5 hours of sleep every night. Let's delve deeper into understanding the importance of this and how you can implement it effectively. In regards to the feeding schedule being very regimented, when breastfeeding is being established early on, and when growth spurts and major neurological development are happening, there will be cluster feeding and it is not something that can go by a timer.

but, just wanted to share this for those who have asked, and to give you an idea of what a typical day could potentially look like! Thinking back to those dark days, I’m realizing a lot of my frustration stems from books like these - the ones that make you feel like you should put your baby on a schedule, have them sleep through the night ASAP, and if you don’t, well, it’s because you didn’t do exactly as we prescribed.Dive deep into expert advice on sleep routines, feeding regimens, health challenges, and child safety. I remember being pregnant and opening the first few pages of the 0-6 months edition , realizing it contained simple lists and explanations for how to handle different stages of my child’s development, and feeling relieved. Dark as midnight for nighttime sleep, maybe letting a little soft light filter in for those daytime naps. With the backdrop of white noise, a brief rock in your arms can be the final lullaby before they're off to dreamland.
