The skills you will learn from The Rugby Speed Coach are not taught at general footy/rugby training. We will give our athletes the confidence to develop breakaway speed and improve on field performance. The following speed limits apply to all single and dual carriageways with street lights, unless there are signs showing otherwise: Battery Life Expectancy: Battery can be expected to last 300 full charge/discharge cycles. The expected cycles increase greatly for partial charge/discharge. After 300 cycles, expected capacity is 80% of original. If you are having issues with the unit detecting too many strokes or not enough strokes, our recommendation is to adjust the Noise Filtering setting. To do this, you would go to Main Menu->Setup->Advanced->Stroke Rate Setup->Noise FilteringStroke Rate: Rate input from accelerometer, autostart with first stroke, 6 to 99 1/2, 1/2-stroke resolution, update every stroke. If you are getting more strokes than you think you should be getting, please raise the Noise Filtering value (default is 3). Get accurate distance with the SpeedCoach OC 2 5 Hz GPS processor. This unit pulls satellite readings 5 times a second, compared to once a second for most GPS watches.
The SpeedCoach accelerometer and GPS technology have been designed and tested specifically for the Sports Performance markets. The accelerometer has been extensively tested and adjusted over the years to give the most accurate stroke rate possible. Settings can be modified to assist in detecting a novice stroke versus an Olympic caliber athlete’s stroke. Stroke rate is probably a new tool for a lot of paddlers. Once you have verified the above and have connected to your SpeedCoach, please first ensure there is data sessions stored on the unit. If you recently upgraded the firmware, you may have erased all the data sessions. Otherwise, please just be patient with the program. We have found that on some Windows computers, data transfer takes a long time (up to 30 minutes in the worst cases). Some of this can be alleviated from disabling other Bluetooth devices, but sometimes anti-virus and other programs can delay this transfer. The data session will transfer eventually though, if program is saying “Not Responding”. The program should eventually alleviate the issue and transfer the data.... Stay engaged for your whole workout with stroke-by-stroke updates on speed, rate, distance and time.
